6th-8th Grade Classes
Musical Theatre
Offered: Fall 2024 and Winter 2024; Tuesdays OR Thursdays
Fee: $250/per semester
Class Description:
Get ready to shine in our 6th-8th Grade Musical Theatre class, where every week is a fusion of Music, Dance, and Acting! Through a dynamic blend of these three disciplines, students will refine their existing talents and explore new dimensions of performance art. Whether it's mastering vocal techniques, perfecting dance routines, or honing acting skills, each class session is an opportunity for growth and artistic expression. As the course progresses, students will collaborate to create a captivating presentation to share with family and friends on the final day of class. Join us for an exhilarating journey where talent meets stagecraft, and dreams take center stage.
Please note: The Winter Semester offers fresh content, ensuring students can enjoy both semesters without repeating material.

**Students who participate in the Fall 2024 and/or Winter 2025 School of Theatre classes are invited to audition for the 2025 Spring School of Theatre Productions, and will be eligible for a role based on availability. Receiving a role is not guaranteed**

Acting

Class Description:
Calling all aspiring actors in 6th-8th Grade! Join us for an immersive exploration of the theatrical arts in our Acting class. Through engaging activities including pantomime, improvisation, and focused training in effective speaking, students will delve into the fundamentals of performance. From mastering articulation, projection, to harnessing the power of breath, participants will lay the groundwork for compelling stage presence. Delving deeper, students will refine their craft by studying monologues, scenes, and embarking on basic script analysis and character development. Each class is a step towards unleashing creative potential and building confidence in performance. The journey culminates in a special showcase for family and friends, where students proudly share the results of their dedication and newfound skills. Join us as we bring stories to life and embark on a transformative acting adventure!
